Welcome to United Kingdom

There are few places on earth that are able to encompass as much scenery, culture and history in such a small amount of landmass as the four nations (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) that make up the United Kingdom. With the North Sea, Atlantic Ocean, English Channel and the Irish Sea enveloping this island nation, it really is a unique place.

There are two major landforms that differentiate the United Kingdom, with the lowland and the highland areas. England being lowland having a mountainous landscape and Scotland up in the North being highland with its Cheviot Hills straddling the Anglo-Scottish border. Flowing through this region are the three main rivers comprising the Thames, Seven and the Humber. The beautiful national parks, the Snowdonia mountains and its rugged coastline make up the country of Wales. A quick ferry ride across the Irish sea and you reach the scenic hilly terrain of Northern Ireland.

The UK has so many layers to it. With a melting pot of diverse cultures and people, rich scenery and landscapes, a history that rivals any other country, an arts scene that happens to be one of the finest in the world and the food isn’t bad either.

London is the main focal point. The silhouette of its famous skyline along with the world-renowned landmarks, high-end fashion districts where shopping is endless, and the cosmopolitan food is a great marker for this city as a whole. The seaside towns such as Brighton; the cathedral villages such as York; the stunning national parks such as the Lake District to the scenic lure of the Cornish coast makes the United Kingdom a top destination.
