White powder sand with some pebbles and stones, and very shallow water. Excellent for boardsailing, Hadikurari is the place of the annual Hi-Winds Pro Am Windsurfing Competion
Also knows as Hadikurari
Beach, Fisherman Hut is located on Aruba’s northwest coast near Palm Beach. The
white sand beach leads into shallow water making it ideal for swimming. It is
also home to some of the best windsurfing on the island and hosts the annual

overrun with sports enthusiasts.
Other than windsurfing you
can also take part in a number of other sports such as kite surfing,
snorkelling, diving and jet skiing etc.
The whole of Aruba enjoys an average temperature
of 28°C. The island is made pleasantly cool throughout the year by constant
trade winds. Short showers occur during the months of October, November

Other than the small shops
and mini malls offered by local hotels, there is little in the way of shopping
at Fishermans Hut. If you are looking for some serious shopping your best bet
is to take a short trip to either Oranjestad or Palm Beach.
The hotels along the
beachfront in Palm Beach tend to open their services and amenities to the
general public. It has also recently become an attractive shopping centre by
the recent opening of the Paseo Herencia Mall which includes numerous stores, a
movie theatre, restaurants and a cultural centre.
Fishermans Hut isn’t over
run with nightlife opportunities however, other than the entertainment laid on
by the resort hotels, there are the local centres of Oranjestad and Palm Beach
that can be explored.
Both areas have clubs,
bars and casinos as well as local entertainment on offer. If you want to see
several venues you can always join the Party Bus. Below are just a few options
available to you.
Aruba’s size means most of
its attractions are within easy reach no matter where you are staying. Below is
a selection of some of the islands attractions that you might like to try
during your stay.
The tap water is safe to drink on Aruba. Medical facilities are good but you are strongly advised to ensure you have full health insurance in place before travelling. Although Aruba is considered a safe place to visit, use common sense for personal safety and secure your belongings.
