The place has a wall six meters high, a thickness of three meters that draws a boundary for many of the structures that reside within it. You can enter the city via seven different gates entitled Suraj Pol, Chand Pol, Ajmeri Gate, Sanganeri Gate, New Gate, Samrat Gate, Ghat Gate, and Zorawar Singh Gate. All blanketed in pink colour pastels, the place voices the glory of ancient India, attracting the attention of visitors from across the globe.
Amer Fort
Situated amidst the pink city, rising high on the Aravalli Hills, is another striking monument. The Amer Fort has been spectacularly designed with maze-like passages, verdant shades of traditional gateways and serpentine staircases. The fort is geographically huge and you need to spare a minimum of three hours if you want to stroll across the entire fort, however, it’s worth it for the amazing experience.
